thoughts for John Hall

Post  Lyle Joyner on Mon Feb 08, 2010 9:50 pm

TOUR NEWS -- Well, some news about John-- yesterday he was admitted to the ICU for congestive heart failure---a condition that covers a multitude of situations. Without getting into the curx of things, he was having a hard time breathing and speeking, and his numbers for his cumidin levels turned out to be higher than expected. He was put on respiratory therapy immediately---basically 40% oxygen, forced into his lungs via a face mask---looks like a scuba mask. And then he received all sorts of medicine , the likes of which I cannot remember. I was told so much constantly that I just remember that bottom line on a scale of 1-10 of being critical, John was somewhere between 4-5. Apparently, you can come out of congestive heart failure, you can live with it , or there is the ultimate option. We both voted no on the last one. John is experinecing a lot of mixed emotions right now, along with a lack of sleep. And to put it mildly, we are both scared. So , once, again, I am asking for your prayers---to give us strength to accept God's will in all of this. I will try to keep you all posted---I will be home in the evenings---not sure about the days yet. Take care Piece, Linda

PS He is in room 4 in ICU, Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Sorry to see John has had this set back as he had been looking pretty good since the last time that Bill Goldston and I had seen him. Stay strong John and I will be up to see you soon.

Dear John...
OK, not that kind of letter. Just wanted to wish you the best in a difficult situation. You have the determination necessary to beat a tough situation. I look forward to hearing you're up on your feet and ready to hit balls again, and hope you beat me back to the course (well, not by much)!
